It is now just over two days until Emily and I board a plane on our way to Cancún (via Denver). Once we leave, we will no longer have our cell phones, so we will be relying primarily on email and blog posts as means of communication. However, if anyone is so inclined, we certainly wouldn't mind getting some old-fashioned snail mail. So, in case you're trying to find us, below is at least a partial itinerary for our trip.
By way of explanation, the trip will work like this: we fly in and start off studying for 3 weeks in Playa del Carmen. We will then spend a week traveling by bus to Oaxaca. During that week, we don't really know where we'll be in between the cities. The same goes for the week between our time in Oaxaca and our 3 weeks in Guanajuato. So, all we can give everyone now is the addresses and numbers of the places we know we'll be and when we'll be there. Here it is:
August 25 - September 12
Soléxico
Calle 6 entre Ave. 35 y 40
Playa del Carmen, 77710, Quintana Roo
Mexico
phone: 52 (984) 873 0755
While in Playa del Carmen, we'll be staying at a school-affiliated residence located off-campus. The address for the residence is as follows:
Residencia Soléxico (Hotel Mayab)
Cerrada 3a Sur No. 153
Playa del Carmen, 77710
Mexico
phone: 52 (984) 873 3155
September 22 - October 10
Soléxico
Abasalo #217
Oaxaca, 68000, Oaxaca
Mexico
phone: 52 (951) 501 1364
While in Oaxaca, we'll be staying with a host family. We have only a name and street address for them. I'm not sure whether the city and zip code will be the same, but here's what we have:
Viky & Toño Gomez
Marcos Perez 215
Colonia Figueroa
phone: 52 (951) 501 1843
October 20 - November 7
Academia Falcon A.C.
Paseo de la Presa 80
Guanajuato, Gto., 36000 MEXICO
phone: 52 (473) 731 0745
We'll be staying in the school's residence while in Guanajuato, which is on site at the Academia.
So, that's about everything we have right now in terms of getting in touch with us by more old-fashioned means. For the time we're traveling between cities, stick with email or post comments here on our blog. And keep an eye on the map at the bottom of the page to track our progress.

Did you know?: The Mexican central bank developed Cancun in the 1960s and 70s as a planned resort and tourism area.
